D.C. United's recent struggles continued on the 4th of July, as the Black-and-Red fell 2-0 to FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Santiago Mosquera and Dominic Badji provided the goals for the hosts on either side of the break, while Luciano Acosta, in a reserve role, received a red card in the 73rd minute. With the loss, United have now won just one of their past eight league games, picking up their second loss in the same stretch.

D.C. United have not had the best run of form lately and will face a stiff challenge on Thursday night when they head to Frisco, Texas, to take on FC Dallas. United will have the services of Junior Moreno, who spent the past month away with Venezuela for the Copa America. The midfielder returned to the Black-and-Red this week and should be in contention to start for Ben Olsen's side, at a stadium in which they have not won since 2007.
