SAC Women's Championship: Limestone Blanks Wingate For The Title
An outstanding defensive effort and Tabea Schutt's second-half goal made the difference, as Limestone downed Wingate for the SAC championship.
Tabea Schutt's goal in the 76th minute was all the support an outstanding Limestone defense needed to secure the Saints' 2022 South Atlantic Conference championship bid.

Limestone held Wingate without a shot on goal for the day, and Schutt made good on Emily Bozard's pass in the second half with the game-winning goal. Schutt beat the goalkeeper to the right for her 12th goal of the season, and the difference-maker to send Limestone to the NCAA Tournament.
Bozard's assist locked up Most Valuable Player honors for the tournament. Saints goalkeeper Samantha Aguilar-Hopkins, meanwhile, completed her ninth shutout of the season and second in the tournament after Limestone blanked Anderson in the opener.
The Saints now ready for the NCAA Tournament with a 12-3-2 overall mark, and wins in four of their last five matches.
