The South Atlantic Conference announced its Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the ninth week of the 2022 season. Lenoir-Rhyne forward Elin Hansson was named the offensive player of the week, while Tusculum goalkeeper Grayson Patterson was named defensive player of the week.

Hansson, a freshman from Halmstad, Sweden, scored a goal and recorded an assist for three points in the Bears’ 4-0 win over Newberry.

Patterson, a junior from Maryville, Tenn., led the Pioneers to a pair of shutouts last week. She made a save in Tusculum’s 2-0 win over Asbury and she made two saves in a 0-0 draw with Wingate.
