The South Atlantic Conference announced its Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the seventh week of the 2022 season.
The South Atlantic Conference announced its Men’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the seventh week of the 2022 season.
Lincoln Memorial midfielder Christian Hatley was named the SAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Lincoln Memorial goalkeeper Alan Johnson was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Hatley, a freshman from Nottingham, England, led the Railsplitters to a pair of SAC wins last week.
He scored the game-winning goal in LMU’s 1-0 win over Mars Hill, and he assisted on the game-winner in the Railsplitters’ 1-0 win over No. 25 Catawba.
For the week Hatley had a goal and an assist for three points.
Johnson, a junior from Indianapolis, picked up a pair of shutout victories for the Railsplitters.
He made six saves in the win over Mars Hill. He then made four saves in the win over Catawba. He finished the week with 10 saves.
