The South Atlantic Conference announced its Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the sixth week of the 2022 season. 

Lincoln Memorial midfielder Peter Majer was named the SAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Coker defender Gustavo Palmieri was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Majer, a junior from Budapest, Hungary, led the Railsplitters to a thrilling 3-2 win over SAC foe Tusculum last week. He scored two goals, earning four points in the win. 

Majer scored the first and last goals of the game for the Railsplitters, as he found the back of the net in the 23rd minute of play and then scored the game-winner off a free kick in the 85th minute of action.

Palmieri, a senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, led the Cobras to a 1-0 victory over Catawba last week.

Not only did he anchor a backline that did not allow a goal, but he netted the game-winner. The win was the fourth shutout of the season for the Cobras.
