The South Atlantic Conference Announces Women's Soccer Players Of The Week
Jeanette Campbell was named defensive player of the week.
The South Atlantic Conference announced its Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the third week of the 2022 season. Catawba forward Hannah Dunn was named the offensive player of the week, while Anderson goalkeeper Jeanette Campbell was named defensive player of the week.
Dunn, a sophomore from Concord, N.C., led the No. 10 Catawba Indians to a pair of SAC victories last week, as they defeated Emory & Henry 7-0 and Newberry 5-0. Dunn set a single-game record for points in a game versus Emory & Henry with four goals and an assist for nine points. She then scored two more goals against Newberry. Dunn finished the week with six goals and an assist for 13 points.
Campbell, a senior from Piedmont, S.C., helped the Trojans to a 1-0-1 record last week with a 0-0 draw against No. 21 Wingate and a 2-1 win over Carson-Newman. She made five stops and picked up a shutout in the draw versus Wingate and she made nine saves and allowed just one goal in the win over Carson-Newman. For the week she had 14 saves with a 0.50 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.
