D.C. United are unbeaten and have yet to concede a goal through two games in the 2019 MLS season, and they'll put both streaks on the line on Saturday evening against Real Salt Lake. After having failed to win any of their previous 12 games in March heading into this season, the Black-and-Red have a chance to grab seven points from their first three games, before taking a week off for the international window.

Kickoff is set for 8 PM ET, with the game streamed locally on FloFC.

With two clean sheets against Atlanta United and New York City FC, it is the first time that United started an MLS season without conceding a goal in the first two games. The Black-and-Red completely smothered Atlanta in the opener but gave up a bit more ground last week to NYCFC. No matter, as both teams ended the game with the same amount of goals that they started it with.

"Right now defensively, we’re sharp. It’s collective," United head coach Ben Olsen said during this week about his team's all-around performance on the defensive end of the field.

Coming to Washington is an RSL side that hasn't had much overturn in the personnel department from the end of last season to the beginning of this one, much like United. The Utah side did bring in Brazilian Everton Luiz, an aggressive midfielder who covers plenty of ground while making life easier for the aging Kyle Beckerman.

Salt Lake also brought in Sam Johnson as a designated player, hoping to finally find a solution for a starting striker. The Liberian striker has spent most of his career in Sweden and Finland but has come off the bench in both of RSL's games to start the season.

Like United, RSL has a win and a draw to their name after two games this year. A 1-1 draw on the road against the Houston Dynamo was followed up last week by a 1-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps, thanks to a controversial penalty. Corey Baird, who won Rookie of the Year honors last year with eight goals and five assists, won the penalty, which was dispatched by Albert Rusnak.

The Slovakian international has both goals for RSL this year, in his third season in the league. Normally a central attacking player, last week, Mike Petke lined Rusnak out wide on the left, with Damir Kreilach playing in the middle, behind Baird. That was a slightly different role for each player from the previous week, as Krielach started up top against the Dynamo as more of a false nine, with Baird on the left, and Rusnak in the middle.

For United, Olsen should have the ability to call upon the same starting 11 once again. Paul Arriola and Junior Moreno both got called up to the U.S. and Venezuelan national teams, respectively, but will depart after the game on Saturday. Meanwhile, after conceding much of the possession last week against NYCFC, defender Steven Birnbaum is hoping United can keep hold of the ball more, as the team looks for their 14th win in the 17th game at Audi Field since its opening last summer.

"Another shutout would be great. The win is the biggest thing," Birnbaum told FloFC earlier this week. "We want to be a little bit more possession-based this game. It would be nice to have a little bit more of the ball."

Predicted lineup - 4-2-3-1: Bill Hamid, Joseph Mora, Steven Birnbaum, Frederic Brillant, Leonardo Jara, Junior Moreno, Russell Canouse, Lucas Rodriguez, Luciano Acosta, Paul Arriola, Wayne Rooney
